ClimateInColour
Hello lovelies,
Yesterday, ClimateInColour turned 4 YEARS OLD!✨
What started out as a creative and purpose driven outlet of mine, a space to make climate and climate justice research, theory and activism more beautiful and accessible, has grown into a beautiful community of nearly 50,000 people, a full-time job (alongside my PhD lol), hundreds of talks/panels/ workshops, opportunities to engage with government and shift policies and an infinite source of pride and purpose for me.
Thank you all for your unending support, for all of the incredible conversations, events, actions, and connections.
Thank you to my current team @aethelsam (research), @ugnepetreikyte (design, @nuarxy (video editing), @itsvivyau (management) and @thisisberlioz (videographer/photographer/listener/partner in crime), and all the peeps who have worked with me over the years to build such a wonderful and impactful platform!
As I enter the last year of my PhD and look forward to ‘what next’, I’m really excited for the new ways in which this platform and community can grow, deepen and create more joy, beauty and most importantly, CHANGE!

✊🏾 Success for climate seniors
The Swiss Climate Seniors achieved a historic victory in Strasbourg: The European Court of Justice ruled that climate protection is a state duty.
The European Court of Human Rights made history today: It upheld the lawsuit by Swiss climate seniors that a lack of climate protection violated their human rights. Laws that consistently reduce CO2 emissions in accordance with the Paris Climate Agreement are therefore a duty of the state. The Swiss government now has to make significant improvements - but the judgment has impact far beyond the plaintiffs' country of origin. It opens the basis for further climate lawsuits in Germany and Europe, setting an example for the whole world.
